- Dear Everybody,
-
- I am new to this group and also new to C++.
- I am trying to read in COM & Parallel ports, but I can't seem to be able
- to find any function that allows me to initialize these ports. I've asked
- many people, but they say there isn't any easy way to do it.
-
- I have Borland C++ v4.0, and I find it very difficult to believe that C or
- C++ doesn't have any function or libraries for COM & Parallel ports. I am
- trying to do real-time data acquisition programming under the Windows.
-
- I also have VisualBasic v3.0(professional edition), and it supposed to have
- a library or '.vbx'(?) file that I can import to C or C++.
-
- Could somebody help me with this problem?
- Thank you very much in advance.
